Your position
In your new position as SCADA Lead Engineer in the Renewables division, you will join a team of highly capable and motivated employees working to deliver SCADA and Wind Power Plant solutions for our global construction projects with our Engineering colleagues.

Your tasks & responsibilities
As our SCADA Lead Engineer, you will be involved in projects from the start-up phase with tender activities until the project is handed over to the end customer, but also occasional in FEED/concept studies. You will ensure that all SCADA project-related tasks are completed meeting our high-quality standards in time and within project contracts.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead design and engineering of the SCADA and Control system, in cooperation with internal specialists, supporting the Protection and Auxiliary systems designs while securing technical requirements and interfaces.
  • Handle suppliers, negotiations, and contracts in cooperation with the project management and procurement department.
  • Create proposals, technical solutions, and project documentation. 
  • Facilitate and participate in client workshops and meetings to ensure that scope and technical solution is according to contract.
  • Ensure execution and commissioning of SCADA related systems and interfaces.
  • Management and participation on factory (FAT) and site (SAT) acceptance tests with customers and suppliers

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • A relevant educational background, e.g., in electrical engineering, marine engineering or similar experience in automation, control, communication and/or protection systems.
  • Experience within the renewables or related industries is an advantage, but not a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

The position is full-time and will involve some travelling to other Semco Maritime offices, sub-suppliers and to project sites. You should expect up to 30 travel days annually for work. Working from home some days during the month is an option.
